Running Accomplishments:

I have ran numerous 5k's. The funnest I think was the anywhere anytime race held in IF in January. You only know the day, they text you the time & you don't know the distance until you're done. Super fun! The other one was the cerebrun in PA. It was a 7-10 mile race with obstacle courses & the distance was determined on the path you took which was decided on your answer to crazy questions. I have ran 1 10k & got hurt 2 miles into my 2nd. I am finally back at it after a 6 months hiatus.

Short-Term Running Goals:

This year I want to do a race each month, building up to complete a few half marathons & at least one marathon in 2016.

Long-Term Running Goals:

My goal is to run as long as my body will tolerate it.

Personal:

I run to stay sane. I consider my runs my "me time". I am single & the mother of a furbaby who goes on my shorter runs with me, she can make it about 3 miles & she is spent. She's a great running partner.

Today is the longest run I've ever done, 12 miles. My first 6 were more brutal than the last 6. I had stashed an ensure protein drink (not milky) & speed beans that really helped that second half (got them at mile 7).  I got a little side ache but nothing that stopped me so I'm glad I found out how to get energy:) It was cold & windy so I was really layered up today. I dropped off my gloves & scarf at one point & then picked them up on the way back which worked out great cause the wind picked up again.  I need to figure out how to help my ankles on those long runs. I'm excited for my upcoming races!

I was supposed to do 6 miles but didn't have time to do it all in the morning & ankles & knees hurt during the day so I took a little break. I actually was bit by a dog on Sunday! I thought it just got me with it's claw but when I got a better look it's actually a bite! Running is dangerous!

Rocked it. Felt cool running in areas where a lot of cyclists go. My two little legs took me there without being able to cruise & rest down hill. Def need my inhaler at mile 5-6. I'm able to drink that ensure drink with vitamins & eat jelly beans without side aches & sour stomach so that rocks to know already.
